Characterization of Wild Corsican Hops and Assessment of the Performances of German Hops in Corsican Environmental Conditions through a Multidisciplinary Approach

Hops (Humulus lupulus L.) is a species that grows spontaneously in Corsica, but the characterization of this territory has not yet been investigated. The main objectives study are to explore features wild hops from Corsica and determine effect island terroir on some cultivars first year growth. A multidisciplinary approach consisting genetic analysis, morphological comparison chemical essential oils was carried out four Corsican three hop grown Tettnang, Germany France. GC-MS analysis hops, set cluster coastal samples apart one far coast. This dissimilarity supported by SSR two accessions. genetics demonstrate proximity between European noble cultivar Tettnanger mountain Corte. German cultivated Tettnang soil, their oils’ profiles, show different 0 +1 for each sample. highlights an acclimatization after planting.
